This policy explains what personal data the Egyptian Society of Breast Imaging (EGSBI) collects through egsbi.org, why, and the choices you have. For any question, email EgyptSBI@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
- Account and registration details: the information you enter when you register, check out or edit your profile — such as your name, email address, phone number, country and professional details.
- Documents you upload: your identity document (national ID or passport) and, for bank transfers, the payment receipt. We use them only to confirm your membership and your payment.
- Payments: order details (what you bought, amount, payment method and status). Card and e-wallet payments are processed by our payment provider, Kashier; we do not see or store your card number.
- Learning activity: the courses you join, your progress, quiz results and the certificates you earn.
- Live sessions and messages: attendance in live sessions, messages you send in session chats, and messages you send us through the contact form.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser and device information, and login sessions. We use them to keep accounts secure and to prevent account sharing.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account, membership and course access.
- To process payments and confirm bank transfers.
- To send verification codes and important notices about your account, orders and sessions — by email, WhatsApp or SMS.
- To issue and verify certificates. A certificate can be verified by others on our certificate verification page using its code.
- To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- To protect the website and members’ content, and to improve the website.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website, and only for that purpose:
- Kashier — online payments.
- Our messaging provider — verification codes and notifications by WhatsApp or SMS.
- Google — Sign in with Google (if you choose it) and website statistics.
- Zoom and our video provider — live meetings and protected video playback.
- Our hosting and email providers — to run the website and deliver emails.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
4. Cookies
The website uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, protect your account, and measure how the website is used. You can delete or block cookies in your browser, but signing in and checkout need them to work.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. Order and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and legal obligations require. Uploaded documents are kept while they are needed to confirm membership and payments. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Security
Access to your data and uploaded documents is limited to the EGSBI team members who need it. We use secure connections (HTTPS) and protective measures against unauthorised access. No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account details from your profile.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account, by emailing EgyptSBI@gmail.com. Some records (such as orders) may need to be kept for legal reasons.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from the link in any newsletter email.
8. Children
The website’s membership and courses are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
